Nlyte to Address Benefits of Next-Generation Technology Asset Management at IAITAM ACE 2019

May 21, 2019 Casey Marx

San Diego, CA  May 9, 2019 - Nlyte Software, the leading software provider for managing computing infrastructure, today announced that Gary Paquette, Nlyte’s General Manager, Technology Asset Management (TAM), has been selected by organizers of the IAITAM ACE 2019 conference to address attendees on Next-Gen TAM solutions. During his session, Mr. Paquette will reference key findings from his company’s new TAM research report, “Technology Asset Management – Today’s Challenges of Device Proliferation.”

Held on May 22-24 at Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, San Diego, CA, the International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers, Inc. (“IAITAM”) is a professional group for individuals and organizations involved in any aspect of IT Asset Management (“ITAM”), Software Asset Management (“SAM”), Hardware Asset Management and the lifecycle processes supporting IT Asset Management in organizations of every size and industry across the globe. Event organizers selected Mr. Paquette as a speaker based on his 25 years of involvement in the design and delivery of award-winning IT Asset Management solutions. His session will be conducted May 22, from 10 am-11 am PT, Torrey Pines room.

“Businesses need to manage large numbers of network-connected devices, but the Excel method no longer cuts it—regardless of how good their formulas and macros are,” Paquette said. “Because HR, finance, legal and other departments constantly require recent data on everything connected to the network and it’s an impossible task to manually assemble it all, a TAM solution that automates the process is needed. I am proud to have been selected by IAITAM ACE 2019 organizers and excited to share the benefits of creating a ‘single source of truth,’ on all connected devices with event attendees.”

Commissioned by Nlyte and delivered by Sapio Research the new TAM research report gathered data from 1,516 technology asset decision-makers, in organizations employing 1,000 people. Among other notable findings, the report uncovered that almost all individuals polled (96%) said that hardware and software asset control is a top five priority in their business. However, even though an overwhelming number of respondents (83%) said a lack of TAM appears to be a key business issue for the C-suite—almost one third polled (31%) are still attempting to track everything connected to the network (thousands of devices) manually.
